It is located in Assam’s eastern boundary in the hilly and valley Arunachal Pradesh. Nameri National Park is home of few endangered wildlife species as white-winged wood duck, Tiger, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Sambar, Clouded Leopard, Gaur, four varieties of Hornbill, Indian Wild Dog and numerous other winged species.

The Sanctuary has a very high thickness of elephant population and because of the decrease in jungle wrap, they occasionally attack human-populated villages.

River Jia Bhoroli of the Assam state is known for the Mahseer angling from British rule. This recurrent river comes to Assam in the plain areas located close to Bhalukpung after whirling throughout the rocky hills of Arunachal Pradesh. This river is famous for Golden Mahseer- The king of Indian rivers.
